Following an emotionally charged debut LP, “Excitable, Girl” on label Central Processing Unit, last year and a string of eclectic releases since, including a recent EP on Hypercolour Records, 96 Back (AKA Evan Majumdar-Swift) continues unfurling his musical narrative with his next LP, “ADRISM”, self-dubbed as a “Pseudo Break-up Album”.

At times dusty, at times searingly sparse, 96 Back turns his hand to a painterly exercise in unexpected melody and texture.
Telling the story of redemption from melancholy, 96 Back continues to showcase his deft understanding of tenderness, freneticism and tension.

Moving from subaqueous, flotation-chamber synth works - “Ambient Banger” (featuring the collaborative efforts of the lauded Skee Mask) or “Mutual Fireworks Lateral” - to austere contemplations - “Delayed 3 Min” - to the fevered, heart-tugging ballad of “Full Circle Adorationsim”, in ADRISM Majumdar-Swift carves out a subtle and vital footnote in his ever-evolving discography.
